Meeting Your Lawn Care Needs

Medium Sized Lawns
Yards that are fairly level can be efficiently mowed with a cordless electric mower. As stated earlier on this page, the charging and mowing times depend on the particular model and voltage of the mower in question. Depending on the voltage, electric mowers are capable of covering an area of anywhere from one third to one half an acre per charge. Keep in mind that the onboard batteries can make some models quite heavy and this can make pushing them uphill a bit awkward and cumbersome. It is for this reason that they are better suited for lawns that have a fairly even terrain.
If you lawn is larger or slightly hilly you may want to consider purchasing a gasoline powered push or self propelled mower to give you the extra power that you need to get the job done efficiently. The downsides to gasoline powered mowers are the obvious consumption of gasoline and regular maintenance requirements. Though if you have a larger lawn you should definitely get a gas powered mower.
If your lawn has considerably large hills that are difficult to mow with a push mower then you should definitely consider getting a self propelled mower. Self propelled walk-behind mowers usually have an adjustable speed so that you can select a pace that is comfortable for you.
You may want to consider a small riding mower if you lawn is moderately large or you would simply rather not walk to do your mowing. They can be relatively inexpensive and the smaller mowers can be very maneuverable. The only drawback to a riding lawn mower is that they can’t reach some of the tighter spots in your yard if you have any. In some cases it may be necessary to have both a riding lawn mower as well as a small push mower or walk-behind mower.
